Feeling Overwhelmed or Low? Here’s some ideas of how to combat these feelings

Life gets busy – and sometimes it all just feels too much. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or a little lost, you’re not alone. It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to feel. And it’s absolutely okay to ask, “What do I need right now?”

Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. Here are some simple ways to check in with yourself, ease stress, and bring a little calm back into your day:

🌿 Small Things That Can Make a Big Difference:
🧘‍♀️ Move your body gently – Stretching, walking, or swimming can help clear your head. Exercise isn’t just fitness—it’s a healthy distraction and emotional release.

🛁 Take time to care for yourself – Epsom salt bath to relax muscles and calm the mind; DIY facials or green tea foot soak to feel refreshed; Chamomile tea before bed to support sleep; Sit in sunlight for a natural vitamin D boost

🎧 Tune in to positivity – Listen to something funny, uplifting, or comforting (podcasts, audiobooks, or playlists), try “Reasons to Stay Alive” by Matt Haig or find a mindfulness challenge that suits your pace

🍌 Nourish your body (and mind) – Eat regularly—don’t skip meals, even when you don’t feel like it. Boost mood naturally with foods like cashew nuts, bananas, and dark chocolate. Stay hydrated and consider a multivitamin if you’ve been running on empty.

💬 Don’t Forget to Check In:
✔️ Am I sleeping enough? Aim for 7–9 hours

✔️ Have I drunk enough water today? Aim for 2L

✔️ Have I been for a short walk today?

✔️ When was the last time I took a break just for me?

✔️ Am I being kind to myself? (You deserve it.)

❤️ Your Mental Health is Not a Luxury—It’s a Priority
Busy lifestyles can pull us in a thousand directions, but that makes it even more important to check in with yourself. Rest, joy, and self-care aren’t selfish—they’re necessary.

Even small shifts – like pausing for breath, stepping outside, or adding leafy greens to your plate—can start to bring balance back.

You matter. Your mental wellbeing matters. And it’s always okay to slow down, reset, and look after you.
